October the lateth

So, the last 2 posts have been about how sorry I am that I haven't posted. Well, I'm not, so that's all I'm going to say about that.

I haven't posted because, honestly, I had no reason to. I had twitter, caboards, myyearbook, and facebook.

But now I need somewhere longer to post.

I'm doing NANOWRIMO this year, and it's going to be EPIC! I have the basic plot, the characters, and the setting (kind of). Now all I need is the dialogue. Which will come in due time.

The past spring, I was diagnosed with DFSP (Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans). Basically, its a skin cancer. It's local, but aggressive. We have no idea when I started to develop it, but by the time they got it, they had to remove all of the tissue down to my skull. (yes, this was on my face). So now I have a, and to paraphrase my Plastic Surgeon "tire patch" over my right eyebrow. Not to mention the droopy eyebrow. And I can't move that side of my forehead. But I CAN raise one eyebrow.

My family is completely insane. Morgan (6) is sharing my room now. Right after I get it to almost damn perfect, for the remander of my time at home. Why? Because my friend Jasmine moved in with her 5 1/2 month old son. Who has spent the past 3 nights screaming. And I was looking to invest in earplugs when Morgan was born.

We spent the first night in the ER (4 hours. FOUR hours.) because he fell off the bed. Then I had to get up after 3 hours to go to a dentist appointment, where I found out I have a few (minor) cavities. Perfect! I've been taking immensely good care of my teeth, and this is the year I get cavities. Really? Is that how we're doing it?

So, back to NANOWRIMO. It's about Blake, this gorgeous bisexual lawyer (think a tall Seth Green with black hair) who meets Aedan (who is in a long term relationship). After spending all night falling for Aedan, he finds out that he's IAR. So, he gets slightly MORE tipsy and calls his bgf(best girlfriend) Lexie, and they end up sleeping together. So they end up together (don't ask me how, I don't know yet) Eventually, Blake, Lexie, Aedan, and Declan end up being an inseperable quartet. Until one night, it all comes to a head. Declan and Aedan have a near knock-down drag-out fight, and Lexie blows up on Blake. And that's all I'm going to tell you right now, because the rest is the ending. (epilogue, maybe? Idk)

The only problem is that my characters aren't behaving. Lexie keeps stealing the show with her "look at me" personality. She is always in my head, saying "OOH! I would do this!" while I'm looking for tidbits about Blake, Aedan, and Declan. You are NOT the MC, Lexie! This is supposed to be Blake's POV. But, I think it may end up being a mixed POV. Mainly his, with short chapters of hers. Or maybe I'll tell his, then hers, and finally the conclusion. That might work. I just figured out a couple parts of Declan's personality today. He is not abusive, as I first had figured, just controlling. He really wasn't until Blake came along, though. Aedan is there, fully formed, he just isn't showing himself all that much. I'm counting on him coming out in November, or I may have to interview. Blake is not all there yet. Which is odd, considering he's the MC. I wrote a little bit in his POV, and it fit perfectly. I'll just have to continue that scene and see where it goes.

Now all I have to do is finish Latin, the Odyssy, and the Odyssy unit, apply to 5 colleges, do 2 weeks of Stats, clean my room, and read a book for English Lit.
